Sail along Hitra’s coast in traditional five-pipe boats and experience nature and wildlife up close.

After a short scenic bus ride, you’ll enter a traditional wooden sailboat at Hopsjø, a former trading centre, which will take you along the stunning coastline of Hitra and Dolmøy. The route takes you between islands and sheltered waters where locals has lived and probably sailed for 10 000 years. You may spot sea eagles, seabirds and other forms of wildlife. The tour offers a simple, calm and authentic way to experience Hitra from the sea.
